5 Essential Parts of Brand Strategy

 

Wondering what should be included in a brand strategy? Here’s what I include in the latest and greatest version of mine! 🤓


1. You & Your People

This should include what the business does, buzzwords to describe the business, a profile on the business’s audience, and the brand positioning.


2. CREATING CONNECTION

Creating connection is all about what matters to the business, what matters to the audience, and how these two things overlap— creating connection on a deeper level.


3. PROBLEM-SOLVING

This should state the problem the audience is facing, as well as the raw human emotion behind that problem. Follow up with the business’s solution.


4. COMPETITION

Evaluate the business’s competition: what they’re doing right and wrong. State how the business stands out from the competition.


5. Action

Restate the business’s solution to the audience’s problem, and follow up with actionable steps to implement that solution.

Restate how they stand out, and what design elements can help do that.

End with suggested messaging for the website, Instagram bio, etc.
